Dear Trinity friends,
I want to give you a quick update on Pastor Amanda’s health and medical treatment.
We are grateful that Pastor Amanda has completed both her chemotherapy and radiation treatments for cancer. That is a significant milestone, and one we give thanks for together. At this point, while she is considered “cancer free,” her medical team will continue to monitor her closely.

During the time that she was undergoing cancer treatment, the condition of her kidneys continued to deteriorate, as expected. Pastor Amanda has begun peritoneal dialysis to support her kidney health. This form of dialysis can be done at home overnight.
She will continue to receive this treatment until she is able to receive a new kidney. She hopes to go back on the transplant list in the spring of 2028.
Overall, Pastor Amanda is doing well, and we continue to be encouraged by her strength, resilience, and spirit. She continues to be lifted up by your kindness and support, and her faith in the God who walks with her is unshakable.
At the same time, she is still in a season of healing. Treatment and dialysis take a real toll, and she tires more quickly than before. For now, she is still on partial disability, and is working part-time. Our hope is that, over time, those hours can slowly increase, but we simply do not know yet how long that process will take. Pastor Amanda and her medical team are being careful and thoughtful, and we are committed to supporting that careful pace.
Because of these limitations, Pastor Amanda will not be preaching as often as she has in the past. We will also be limiting her involvement in funerals, weddings, and other special services for the time being. These decisions are about protecting her health and making sure she has the space she needs to continue healing.
Thank you for the prayers, notes, kind words, and quiet acts of care you have offered to Amanda and to her family. They matter more than you know.
Please continue to hold her in your prayers, especially as she adjusts to dialysis and continues recovery.
If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to talk with me. I am always glad to visit.
With gratitude and hope,
Pastor Todd
