Trinity has been assigned Alex Becker to serve as our pastoral intern for the 2016-2017 school year.
Alex is a student at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, in their “Distributive Learning” program. He and his wife, Gabbie and their 3 1/2 year old daughter, Ellie, currently live in Salisbury, North Carolina where Alex serves as the Minister for Youth Discipleship at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Alex has served in that role for two years, and has been taking courses at Luther Seminary during that time.
With internship approaching, Alex, Gabbie and Ellie decided it was time to return “home” to Minnesota to be closer to their family.
Alex grew up in Andover, MN and graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead in 2009. During the summers, Alex served on the staff of Luther Crest Bible Camp in Alexandria. Following graduation, Alex took a position at Celebration Lutheran in Sartell, MN prior to moving to Salisbury, NC to begin work at St. John’s.
Our current intern pastor, Andrew Lewis will continue his ministry at Trinity until approximately August 1, and Alex will begin his work shortly after Andrew completes his internship.
Trinity has been blessed with a long history of wonderful interns. That has certainly been the case with Andrew, and we look forward to that continuing with Alex.
