Dear Friends,

I have some wonderful news to share,

Trinity Lutheran Preschool has a new director. Jess Bos is exactly the kind of person you hope walks through your door when you are searching for someone to lead an important ministry like the preschool.

Let me tell you a little about her.

A group of preschool children sitting on a colorful rug, with one child excitedly holding a brightly wrapped gift, while other children watch with interest.

Jess graduated from Owatonna High School and went on to study early childhood education at Alexandria Technical College, earning her Associate’s Degree in 2017. But honestly, her credentials on paper only tell part of the story. For the past eight years, Jess has been doing the real work of caring for children. She ran her own in-home daycare for five years, nurturing little ones and building relationships with families right in her own home. She knows what it means to create a space where children feel safe, seen, and genuinely loved.

What strikes me most about Jess is her energy. She does not just care about children in theory. She is the kind of person who shows up, rolls up her sleeves, and gets to work. She arranged childcare teams, prepared classrooms, communicated with parents, and brought new ideas to the table. She has CPR certification, a deep background in child development, and the kind of natural warmth that you simply cannot teach.

She is also, as she will be the first to tell you, fueled by coffee. I respect that deeply.

Jess is happily married to her husband Jordan, and together they are raising three wonderful girls. She describes herself as someone with a deep love for Jesus, her family, and children, and that shines through in everything she says and does. She is not just looking for a job. She is looking to live out her calling, and I believe Trinity Preschool is exactly the right place for that.

Jess will be joining us next week to begin getting to know the kids, the families, and our preschool staff before the school year wraps up. That is intentional. She wants to hit the ground running in the fall, and the best way to do that is to build relationships now. If you see her in the hallway or dropping by a classroom, please introduce yourself. She would love to meet you.

We are grateful for Jess. We are grateful for the gifts she brings, the faith she carries, and the passion she has for the little ones in our community. This is a good day for Trinity Preschool.

Welcome, Jess. We are so glad you are here.

In Christ,
Pastor Todd
