As I write this, it’s 11:25pm local time in Wittenberg, Germany. Our group arrived in Wittenberg about 4.5 hours ago. Since then, we moved in to our housing, shred in a meal with others who are here for the event, gone to the first group meeting and participated in evening prayer at the Church of St. Mary, or “Town Church,” where Martin Luther preached over 1000 sermons.

It was exhausting travel, including 3 flights and a bus ride. But we’re here, and it’s all very cool, and pretty surreal!
In upcoming days, I’ll post some photos here, along with updates about our experiences. We’re thankful for your prayers that have helped us to get here safely.
Most importantly, I’ll share what we learn about the reformation; both the historical act sparked by Luther and the other reformers, as well as the ways we can learn about how God’s redeeming and reforming work in the world continues today!
God’s blessings!
